We recently flew in late May. Yes it was cold on the ground with the early start, but we didn’t find it a problem when we were in the balloon (especially with the burners on). Because you’re travelling with the wind you don’t feel any breeze when up in the air. And the countryside with mist was spectacular.

Hi, Beyond Ballooning is located in the Hunter Valley away from the coast so is not subject to the coastal winds Newcastle experiences. We do experience westerly winds at times through our summer. In saying that Beyond Ballooning operate year round, and would not operate in unsafe conditions; their safety record is impeccable.
