Three days after a fatal Air India AI171 flight crash, another tragic incident has been reported in Uttarakhand, where a helicopter flying from Kedarnath Dham to Guptkashi crashed in the jungles of Gaurikund, leading to the deaths of seven people, including the pilot, according to media reports.

All but one of those on board an Air India flight bound for London Gatwick Airport that crashed shortly after take-off in western India on Thursday have died, the airline has confirmed.

The lone survivor, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, 40, said even he could not explain how he survived.
