Hyderabad: US-based biopharma giant Amgen flagged off its first India investment with a new technology and innovation centre in Hyderabad.

Global biotech leader Amgen opened its $200 million technology and innovation centre in Hyderabad, a facility that will help the U.S. firm ramp up digital capabilities, open more opportunities for the talent pool of the region and build on the city’s position as an emerging hub for global capability centres (GCC).

HYDERABAD: US-based biopharma giant on Monday opened its new technology and innovation centre in Hyderabad with its CEO Robert Bradway announcing a $200 million investment commitment in the facility through 2025 with additional investments planned in future years.

The site is expected to accelerate Amgen’s digital capabilities through artificial intelligence and data science to further advance its pipeline of medicines, while creating significant opportunities for local talent.
