Sheriff’s office identifies inmate who died at Ascension Parish Jail
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office identified the inmate who died at the parish jail on Sunday, Dec. 1. APSO said the inmate who passed away was Darvin Mumphrey, 40, of Donaldsonville. Deputies said the inmate’s cause of death is pending an autopsy.
Inmate at the Ascension Parish jail died while in custody. State Police investigating.
