Manchester United are hopeful of concluding a deal for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo before Tuesday's mini transfer deadline. A special transfer window to allow clubs to sign players before this month's Club World Cup opened last Sunday and will close on Tuesday evening.

Manchester United have upped their offer for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, sources have told ESPN. United have already seen the offer of an overall package of around £55 million ($74.5m) knocked back by Brentford. Sources have told ESPN that the improved offer is worth more than £60m.

Talks are ongoing as United work to reach an agreement for a player targeted by head coach Ruben Amorim to strengthen his attacking unit.
