Coco Gauff sealed her place in the fourth round of the Canadian Open after coming from a set down to beat former top 10 player Veronika Kudermetova in Montreal. The 21-year-old hit over a dozen double faults for the second consecutive match on the hard courts and revealed her disappointment with her performance despite the victory.

Gauff had to overcome 23 double-faults to win for the first time since the French Open final, outlasting fellow American Danielle Collins 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (2) in the second round of the National Bank Open.
