Duke basketball’s Cooper Flagg was the preseason hype magnet in college basketball, and for good reason. The 17-year-old’s hoops IQ is well above most players his age on both ends of the floor, but Rutgers basketball superstar Dylan Harper is quickly showing why he should be mentioned in the same breath.

The reasons why are simple. He’s 17 years old and still barely scratches the surface of his potential. Yet, still, he’s easily one of the most versatile defenders in the nation. It’d take a lot to supplant him, even if his offense hasn’t yet caught up to his defense an d late-game turnovers have been a problem.
