According to the Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center’s outlook, precipitation levels are expected to remain above normal from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic through the end of April, especially for Northeast Texas, North Louisiana, Arkansas, eastern Oklahoma and southern Missouri.

North Texas is in for a wet and soggy weekend, which might put a damper on Easter weekend plans. On Easter Sunday, North Texas has a high chance of showers and storms during the early morning hours, bringing a flood threat as a cold front moves through.

If you were hoping for sunny skies on Easter for picnics and egg hunts, you may make backup plans. Storms are expected across much of the state.
