FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Alerts issued for flash flooding, damaging winds from strong storm system
Several severe weather alerts have taken effect as a strong winter storm system approaches Hawaii. The HNN First Alert Weather Team earlier declared a First Alert Weather Day statewide through Friday morning.
FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY Today for Severe Storms
There is a chance for flash flooding in the northern half of the ArkLaTex with a chance for strong winds & isolated tornadoes in the southern half of the ArkLaTex.
First Alert Weather Day: Thursday
The main line of storms will be arriving early Thursday morning and could move through East Texas just in time for the morning commute. Heavy rain is likely and some storms could become strong to severe. The line will be moving out of the area by Thursday evening and the clouds will clear out in time for sunshine this weekend.
First Alert Weather: Yellow Alert for areas of snow and wind with falling temps.
Yellow Alert Wednesday for increasing snow and wind during the morning with falling temperatures later in the day. After a lull in the wintry weather early this morning, conditions will begin to go downhill after 8AM.
Maryland Weather: Alert Day; strong winds through this evening
Strong wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph may snap tree branches and cause localized power outages from 10 AM until 10 PM.
