GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Not many knew who he’d choose, but now the whole world does. Five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas on Wednesday flipped his commitment from Florida State and has signed with the LSU Tigers over the Florida Gators during the Early Signing Period.

FSU's inability to hold onto their recruits on signing day reared its head again on Wednesday as five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas has flipped to the LSU Tigers. Thomas was FSU's highest-rated commit and had been committed since December of 2023.

Florida State has put in some serious work on the recruiting trail to close out the 2025 cycle. The Seminoles have been flipping prospects throughout the first day of the Early Signing Period and that continued on Wednesday evening.

The recruiting haul for Florida football continues to grow during college football's early signing day on Wednesday. This time, the Gators outdueled their most fierce rivals, the Georgia Bulldogs, for a top blue-chip defender.

Ousmane Kromah waited until midway through his senior to commit to Georgia. Come National Signing Day, the top-100 recruit had a late change of plans. Kromah, the No. 6-ranked RB in the Rivals250 out of South Georgia,
