SB Nation on MSNGiants-Jets ‘Kudos & Wet Willies’ review
The New York Giants are 2-0 after Saturday’s 31-12 victory over the New York Jets! Granted, it is preseason but considering how the last two years have gone it’s cool to say. Let’s review in our unique ‘Kudos & Wet Willies’ style.
Justin Fields and the New York Jets' passing offense struggled against the Giants. Fields, who signed a two-year, $40 million deal to replace Aaron Rodgers, completed just one of five passes for 4 yards in the Jets' 31-12 preseason loss Saturday night.
It's a good thing for the Jets that the annual preseason game against the Giants no longer has the Snoopy trophy up for grabs. On Saturday night, the Giants won easily, 31-12. The word of the night for first-year head coach Aaron Glenn was "sloppy." That's what he said at halftime, and that's what he said after the game.
The Jets also have plenty of ongoing position battles to worry about as well with training camp quickly approaching its end. Before the Jets-Giants clash, Jets insider Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic disussed the various position battles to watch.
