Strong to severe storms remain possible in Alabama overnight, and a tornado watch continued for parts of the state. The National Weather Service issued multiple tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings late Saturday and early Sunday, and more storms will be possible across south and east Alabama through the early morning hours.

A Tsunami Advisory was issued on Saturday evening following 7.6 magnitude earthquake, which occurred southwest of the Cayman Islands in the Northwest Pacific. The National Tsunami Warning Center said sea-level fluctuations and strong ocean currents were possible in the aftermath of the earthquake but the threat did not rise to a Tsunami Warning.

"Waves" of heavy to moderate rain will sweep through Alabama mid-week with some areas getting up to five to six inches for the period, raising concerns of possible flash flooding, weather forecasts are predicting.
