Highway 11 still closed both directions
Highway 11, which remains closed in both directions between Highway 60 in Huntsville and West Street in Orillia, has been cleared of all obstructions and is now awaiting snow removal to be completed. Ontario 511 says the highway is still closed in both directions. All community transit services have been cancelled for today.

Officials said on Monday that the state of emergency was continuing because the substantial snowfall resulted in a prolonged closure of Highway 11.At around 10 p.m. on Monday, Ontario Provincial Police reopened Highway 11 in both directions between Orillia and Huntsville.

Overnight Saturday, the snow continued to wallop the area. The OPP says the highway remains closed (from Highway 169 to Highway 118) and a reopening is not expected quickly as crews work to clear the heavy snow.
