A fatal car crash occurred on Highway 65 just south of Famoso Road on Thursday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Crews are working to clean up a section of northbound Interstate 65 in Lake County after gusty winds toppled multiple semi-trailers on Wednesday.

Starting as early as May, the Indiana Department of Transportation will be working on the I-65 Safety & Efficiency project. The $112.7 million project will last roughly two years and span about 5 miles from north of Interstate 465 to just south of the I-65/Interstate 70 overpass.
