At least six people have died in protest-related violence as supporters seeking Imran Khan’s release from prison broke through barriers meant to lock down Islamabad.

Supporters seeking the release of imprisoned Pakistani former premier Imran Khan on Tuesday broke through a ring of shipping containers locking down the capital Islamabad, while at least six people have died in protest-related violence.

The PTI claimed that the demonstrators while protesting against the military-backed regime faced tear gas shells, rubber bullets, and stun grenades during the protest.
