Oklahoma State wrestling suffered its first loss of the season Sunday night at the hands of Angelo Ferrari and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

In a night dedicated to senior Hawkeye wrestlers to close the regular season, with Kyle Parco waving goodbye to Iowa fans and Stephen Buchanan bowing in their final matches, a freshman stole the show.

IOWA CITY — The importance of tonight’s men’s wrestling dual between Oklahoma State at Iowa isn’t lost on Hawkeye Coach Tom Brands. He has, after all, wrestled in this historic series. He’s coached in it, too. He mentioned coaches like Dan Gable, Joey Seay and John Smith who came before him.
