AUSTIN - By nature, Mike White's not really a chess player any more. "I used to play with my dad," the Texas head softball coach said. "I don't know if I was any good. He used to beat my butt." He learned enough and dusted off a few strategic moves and checkmated a strong Clemson team in the biggest game of the year.
The Longhorns will begin their 2025 campaign on the gridiron away from home in a highly anticipated matchup at Ohio State on Aug. 30. The 2025 opener at Darrell K Royal—Texas Memorial Stadium will take place one week later on Sept. 6 against San Jose State.
