Given its name, you’d be forgiven for thinking Monster Hunter Wilds is solely about hunting down monsters. Sure, that’s a big part of the game, but there’s more to a hunt than slinging swords and shooting rocket arrows at beasts in the field.

To unlock Mizutsune, you need to be Hunter Rank 21 or above, have beaten the main story campaign of the game, and reached High Rank. Once you hit that rank, go to the Scarlet Forest and talk to Kanya, the fisher. You can find her in her usual spot by the pond in the Scarlet Forest basecamp.

Capcom has just released the massive April 4th Title Update for Monster Hunter Wilds that brings with it a mountain of changes to the game. These changes include new monsters like the Mizutsune

And much to my enjoyment, Monster Hunter Wilds gives me some good options. Although the Charge Blade earns some major cool points for its transforming gimmick, there is nothing quite like fighting alongside a bug with the Insect Glaive.
