The Los Angeles Chargers had their sights set on Hampton, but were unsure he'd be there at their pick. They feel as if they struck gold by landing Hampton on Thursday night.

Hampton is a top-tier athlete at running back, boasting a 9.70 Relative Athletic Score coming out of the combine. Standing at 5-11 and weighing 223 pounds, Hampton recorded a 4.46 40-yard dash and tacked on a 38-inch vertical jump as well.

After signing Najee Harris as a free agent, the Chargers brought in another running back with their first-round pick in North Carolina's Omarion Hampton.
