North Korea is expanding a key weapons manufacturing complex that assembles a type of short-range missile used by Russia in Ukraine, researchers at a U.S.-based think tank have concluded, based on satellite images.

The Ukrainian military said on Monday that it found Western-made parts inside North Korean ballistic missiles, marking the latest discovery for Kyiv as it continues to find technology from Europe and the US inside weapons used by the Russian military.

North Korean troops reportedly deployed in Ukraine, prompting U.S. and allies' concern over escalating tensions with Russia.

Russian and North Korean troops have made significant gains in the western part of the Kursk region. A section of the Russian territory, which was overrun by thousands of Ukrainian troops last summer,

"Russia's own troops are not enough" to push Ukraine out of the Russian border region, Kyiv's top commander has said.
