Two people were taken to the hospital after they were shot at San Jose's Westfield Valley Fair on Black Friday, police said.

Novato police initially issued an alert shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday about “an altercation between US Coast Guard Security and an unknown suspect.”

A small human-caused wildfire was burning Friday near the Turkey Tracks shooting range northwest of Woodland Park, though firefighters were taking an “indirect approach” due to unexploded ammunition in the area, officials said.

The 33-year-old man was shot after fleeing a traffic stop in Presque Isle County and crashing his vehicle on M-65 in Long Rapids Township.
