At 5:11pm the event's social media pages posted a message confirming the passing. The participant had successfully completed the race, but needed medical attention, according to the post.

This year's Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon is seeing an upward trend in international participation. Around 13,000 people from more than 80 countries joined the run, making it the highest since the recent pandemic.
