Walmart, Wegmans and Albertsons stores have recalled cucumbers for possible contamination with salmonella. They were sold in more than half of states.

The recalled cucumbers, sold by SunFed Produce LLC, are all sizes of whole, fresh cucumbers that were packaged in bulk cardboard containers with the label “SunFed” or “in a generic white box or black plastic crate with a sticker that provides the implicated grower’s name, ‘Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.,' ” the FDA wrote in the recall notice.

Thousands of cucumbers and eggs sold in North America are linked to two salmonella recalls. Dozens of people have been sickened by the contaminated cucumbers.

Canadian officials say SunFed Produce brand whole, fresh, American cucumbers have been recalled due to potential salmonella contamination. The cucumbers were sold in several Canadian provinces in October and November.

Cucumbers distributed to more than two dozen US states and Canada are being recalled after reported illnesses from salmonella contamination.

SunFed Produce, LLC has issued a voluntary recall for whole fresh American cucumbers due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recalled cucumbers were distributed to retailers nationwide, including New Jersey. The cucumbers would have reached consumers through foodservice and retail outlets.

CALIFORNIA -- SunFed Produce is recalling its cucumbers because of salmonella risks. According to a news release from the Food & Drug Administration, the cucumbers were sold between Oct. 12, 2024 and Nov. 26, 2024 in 26 states, including California, Idaho and Washington state.

A recall of SunFed Produce cucumbers sold in Montana has been issued due to possible salmonella contamination connected to an active illness outbreak.
