Oklahoma defensive back Kendel Dolby plans to enter transfer portal
The Oklahoma Sooners are gearing up for their first College Football Playoff game since 2019. When the Sooners take on the Alabama Crimson Tide on Friday night, OU will be without defensive back Kendel Dolby.
After transferring to the Sooners from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M prior to the 2023 season, Dolby totaled 68 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions. Dolby showed flashes of excellence at OU coach Brent Venables' famed hybrid cheetah position last season before sustaining a season-ending injury.
Oklahoma defensive back Kendel Dolby is expected to enter the transfer portal, per Pete Nakos of On3. Dolby is the first player from the 2025 team to reportedly be headed to the portal.

On Wednesday, On3’s Pete Nakos reported that Dolby plans to enter the transfer portal. The next transfer portal window opens on January 2 and closes January 26. So, Dolby will hopefully be on a new team by then. Dolby is a great guy and was a great player, but both sides needed to move on.
