Minnesota Wild Recall David Jiricek, Send Travis Boyd To Iowa
The Minnesota Wild announced they have recalled newly acquired defenseman David Jiricek and sent forward Travis Boyd to their AHL affiliate Iowa Wild. Jiricek was acquired yesterday in a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Daemon Hunt and draft picks.
Wild's Travis Boyd: Assigned to AHL
Boyd was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Sunday. Boyd hasn't earned a point in two NHL outings while posting two blocked shots and one hit. The Wild brought up defenseman David Jiricek in a corresponding move.

With Brock Faber and Zeev Buium already in the system the Wild now have three building blocks on the back-end. There is no news on how long Jiricek will remain in the AHL but with an injury to Jonas Brodin and the price they paid to acquire him there is a good chance we see Jiricek suit up for Minnesota sooner rather than later.
