U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll held talks with Russian officials in Abu Dhabi on Monday, a U.S. official told Reuters, the latest effort by President Donald Trump's administration to broker a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

The US is holding secret talks with Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi in an effort to finalise a peace plan to end the war. US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and a Russian delegation met last night to discuss the Trump administration’s peace proposal, it was reported.

A plan to end Russia’s war with Ukraine is progressing, according to American and Ukrainian officials, who also acknowledged more work still to do.
