There’s no question that Apple’s upcoming health features resemble Oura’s, but will the tech giant do it better?

Microsoft spent more than a decade trying to build the perfect foldable phone device and failed. Apple just delivered on that vision with the iPhone Duo. It's one more example in a long-running trend.

If you’re ready for a big technology upgrade in the phone scene, you’ve probably heard about and are excited for the newly announced iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro. The Duo will be released on October 23, and it joins the new 2026 model of the Motorola razr in the lineup of flippable smartphones. It is Apple’s first foray into the trend.

Apple stock has done well compared with peers who have spent big on AI but the iPhone Duo foldable smartphone will test its strategy.

"Apple is extending free access to satellite features for an additional year for existing iPhone 14, iPhone 15, and iPhone 16 users," the company wrote in the fine print of its iPhone 18 Pro announcement. That’s good news since the satellite features, including the Emergency SOS, were slated to expire in the coming weeks for affected iPhones.
