Hundreds of people filled the street in front of the Christ Assembly Lutheran Church in Newark where the officer was gunned down allegedly by a 14-year-old with an automatic weapon.

Donations have been pouring in for the families of two Newark police officers who were shot last week - one fatally - during an investigation over illegal firearms. Detective Joseph Azcona, 26, and another officer were shot during a fierce gun battle Friday night while investigating illegal firearm activity at Broadway and Carteret Street.
