You see, in Europe they call elk (Alces canadensis), moose. To make things worse they call moose, elk. Just the opposite of how we name these animals.

"Because elk, deer, moose and other wild animals are currently rearing their newborn offspring, it increases the possibility of a serious wildlife encounter," CPW officials warned.
