Ubisoft has confirmed the release dates of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows’ first expansion pack, “Claws of Awaji”, and the New Game Plus mode for the main game, in a post on X. Set on a new island called Awaji, the Claws of Awaji DLC will launch on September 16, 2025. The New Game Plus mode for Assassin's Creed: Shadows will arrive earlier, on July 29.

The story unfolds on the mysterious Island of Awaji, where the duo embarks on a perilous journey in pursuit of lost treasure. Along the way, they must confront a ruthless new enemy faction known as Sanzoku Ippa. The DLC also brings a host of new features, including exclusive weapons, legendary gear, and additional combat abilities.

Revealed in a post to the official series website, the 'summer roadmap' begins with a progression update, arriving next week on July 29. Headlining this update is the arrival of New Game Plus, which lets players carry over character level, gear, skill points, Hideout progression and knowledge rank into a new game after they've rolled credits.
