"The BAFTA Games Awards longlist is our opportunity to celebrate a wide range of outstanding games ahead of the BAFTA nominations on 4 March next year," said Tara Saunders, chair of BAFTA's Games committee.

The Best Game category’s longlist has also been revealed for the first time, with ten solid hopefuls aiming to get the biggest prize.

The BAFTA Awards has released its long list of possible video game nominations for Best Game, and they include the likes of Helldivers 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Astro Bot, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and more. Additionally, unlike The Game Awards, DLC such as Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree won't be eligible for Best Game.

The prestigious BAFTA Games Awards has also released a full list of nominations for its 2025 ceremony, including community favorites like Baldur's Gate 3, World of Warcraft and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

The BAFTA Game Awards has dropped its list of best games of 2024, and made it clear that DLC won't be considered for the list.
