Consumers are preparing for a 24-hour economic blackout on Friday, Feb. 28. It is one of several boycotts planned by groups of consumers or activists to protest what they call corporate greed, companies that have rolled back their diversity,

The blackout will take place from noon until 11.59 p.m., and during that time, those participating have been asked to boycott a number of stores.

A national no-spend day on Friday is just the first of multiple economic blackouts that will include specific boycotts of Target, Amazon and Walmart.

The boycott targets businesses such as gas stations, Amazon and Target, which recently disbanded DEI initiatives.
