After Scottie Scheffler's latest win at the Memorial Tournament, much of the talk coming into this week's RBC Canadian Open was how Rory McIlroy would respond in his first start since the PGA Championship.

McIlroy, at 9-over, was 21 strokes behind Cameron Champ, who entered Saturday with a two-stroke lead in the final event ahead of the U.S. Open. The reigning Masters champion isn’t involved in weekend play in a non-major tour for the first time since the 2023 Players Championship.

Rory Mcilroy finished nine-over par at the Canadian Open to end tied for 149th place, missing his first cut of the year and first since The Open at Royal Troon in 2024
