A Dallas man is facing a murder charge in connection to a shooting in early March, Garland police say.

Dallas police are investigating the death of a 16-year-old who was found in the 4700 block of S. Great Trinity Forest Way. Officers were called to the scene around 7:15 Saturday evening for a disturbance call. Once officers arrived, they found the teenager with a gunshot wound. Paramedics responded, but the teen died at the scene.

MESQUITE, Texas — The Mesquite Police Department said it arrested the man who reportedly shot and killed 45-year-old James Alder on March 3. Police said they believe footage of the incident exists due to the large amount of people in the area during the confrontation.
