A New York federal judge has denied Sean "Diddy" Combs' renewed bail request. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 3.

In court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Judge Arun Subramanian wrote that the court must "Find by clear and convincing evidence that the person is not likely to flee or pose a danger to the safety of any other person or the community if released," and that Combs posed a risk of "flight or danger."

Sean Combs will stay in jail as he awaits sentencing for prostitution-related crimes, a court has ruled. U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian on Monday denied Combs’ bid to be released, finding that this history of violence shows that he could pose a dangers to others.
