Steven Pearl, son and assistant of Bruce Pearl, gave his reasoning as to why Auburn will be the first overall seed and not Duke.

“If you look at our body of work, it doesn’t compare when you’re looking at Duke’s resume. It’s not even close, actually. The only thing they have on us is the head-to-head at their place," the Auburn assistant said.

This is the first time since the first week of the season that I’ll be voting for someone other than Auburn at No. 1 on my AP Top 25 ballot.
