A Central Florida man was sentenced to life in prison for murdering his girlfriend's 13-year-old daughter, who went missing and was found dead months later.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the officer was “stripped of his duties” after the video was posted online Saturday.

Sam Hollis said he was out on the water instructing when a big wave knocked him under. Once he got back onto his board, he said he didn't see the shark grab a hold of him.
