The National Weather Service issued heat advisories for a large swath of the East Coast from central Florida to Virginia through much of the weekend. Highs in the upper 90s F (mid 30s C) were forecast for central Florida,

On Monday at 3 a.m. a heat advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid from 11 a.m. until Wednesday 8 p.m. for Western Montgomery, Eastern Montgomery, Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks as well as Delaware and Philadelphia counties.

The National Weather Service issued an updated heat advisory at 12:45 a.m. on Monday valid between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties.
