NY Jets vs. Giants highlights: Jets' QBs struggle, Jaxson Dart delivers in NFL preseason game
The Jets first-team offense struggled while Giants' QB Jaxson Dart stole the show in the second half of the NFL preseason game. Here are the highlights.
Fierce rivals duke it out in Week 2 of the NFL preseason as the New York Jets face the New York Giants in this highly anticipated matchup.
Jaxson Dart shined in his preseason home debut for the New York Giants as they beat the Jets 31-12. Dart got time with the first-team offense, at one point completed 13 consecutive passes and threw for a touchdown and ran for another.
It was the Jaxson Dart show at MetLife Stadium on Saturday night. The rookie quarterback completed 14-of-16 pass attempts for 137 yards and a touchdown to tight end Greg Dulcich. He also ran the ball twice for five yards and a rushing touchdown to help lead the Giants to a 31-12 win over their cross-city rival Jets.
Fields, as everyone knows, is adept at running the football. But just how good at that is he? He's one of three QBs in NFL history to average 50 rushing yards or more per game. The other two are Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels, per NBC's Matthew Berry.
Justin Fields and the New York Jets' passing offense struggled against the Giants. Fields, who signed a two-year, $40 million deal to replace Aaron Rodgers, completed just one of five passes for 4 yards in the Jets' 31-12 preseason loss Saturday night.
