San Jose Sharks forward Barclay Goodrow was placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury he suffered against a hit from Ottawa Senators forward Ridly Greig.

The San Jose Sharks placed forward Barclay Goodrow on injured reserve Thursday and recalled Ethan Cardwell from the San Jose Barracuda. Goodrow left Wednesday’s game against the Ottawa Senators with an upper-body injury midway through the first period.

The San Jose Sharks announced Thursday that they have placed veteran forward Barclay Goodrow on injured reserve. The Sharks also announced they have recalled Ethan Cardwell from the Sharks’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate the San Jose Barracuda.

Jake Walman had two goals was among the seven players who had two points for the Sharks, who set a new season-high for goals in a game and finished their homestand with a 2-2-0 record. The Sharks scored seven goals earlier this week in a win over the Los Angeles Kings.

The teams will have back-to-back home and home games, first facing off in San Jose Friday afternoon, before returning to Seattle for a Saturday night game.
