Sheriff Susan Hutson said the inmate was released after OPSO mixed him up with a person with the same last name.

Khalil Bryan, 30, was released from the Orleans Parish Jail on Friday in what authorities refer to as "human error," after he was confused with another inmate with a “similar last name”, according to Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson.

Khalil Bryan was released after a clerical error caused officials to confuse him with another inmate with a similar last name, officials said.
