OU softball led Texas 8-0 on Sunday before letting the lead slip away. But the Sooners still pulled out the victory to complete the sweep.

No. 4 Oklahoma (42-5, 16-5 SEC) sweeps No. 3 Texas (42-9, 13-8 SEC) in the Red River Rivalry. The Sooners dominated the first three innings of Game 3, hitting two home runs in the first two innings to take an early 5-0 lead. They added three more runs in the third to put the pressure on the Longhorns with an 8-0 deficit.

Oklahoma retired the Longhorns in order again in the fourth, making it eight straight Texas batters retired. The Sooners added to their lead in the bottom half of the inning thanks to an RBI double by Abigale Dayton and a sacrifice fly by Kasidi Pickering.
