A leader at Southlake-based Gateway Church on Saturday provided the first update to its congregation since founding pastor Robert Morris was indicted on five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child in Oklahoma.

Robert Morris resigned as senior pastor of Gateway Church in June after admitting to "inappropriate sexual behavior" in the 1980s.

The Gateway Church founder and former senior pastor is accused of sexually abusing a woman in the '80s, starting when she was 12 years old.

Robert Morris, founder and former pastor of Gateway Church and previous adviser to Trump, was indicted on five felony counts.

The indictment, released Wednesday by the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, charges Robert Morris with five counts of indecent behavior with a child stemming from his alleged abuse of Cindy Clemishire in the 1980s.

Gateway Church founder Robert Morris will "more likely than not" turn himself in and be arraigned by Monday, Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond told The Dallas Morning News.
