CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Guardians’ four full-season minor league managers are returning for the 2025 season.

The Cleveland Guardians’ decision to trade Josh Naylor was as surprising as it was controversial. However, manager Stephen Vogt is confident in the team’s ability to turn RHP Slade Cecconi into a legitimate starter.

The mystery surrounding the Guardians’ 2025 TV broadcast is nearing a conclusion. With pitchers and catchers reporting to Goodyear, Arizona on March 11, and the regular season starting on March 27, a resolution is needed.

According to multiple reports, including MLB insider Jeff Passan, the Guardians and Sewald agreed to a 1-year deal worth $7 million guaranteed. The deal also includes a mutual option for the 2026 season worth $10 million (or a $1 million buyout if both sides agree to part ways).

As the MLB offseason continues, the Guardians have made a move to bolster their bullpen, signing free agent veteran reliever Paul Sewald.
