Happy Tuesday, Dallas Cowboys Nation. Following last night's Monday Night Football doubleheader, Week 2 is officially in the books, and it's time to turn the page to Week 3, where the team will hit the road to take on the Chicago Bears.
It was a big weekend in the NFC East. The Washington Commanders got their hearts ripped out on Thursday, it took the Dallas Cowboys every possible second to beat the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon, and then the Philadelphia Eagles ended the Chiefs’ winning aura on Sunday afternoon.

Around the NFC East: Week 2 edition
The NFC East ended up with three marquee games in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season. Thursday night football saw the Commanders beaten soundly on national television by the Green Bay Packers 27-18. The Commanders not only lost their first game but also lost starters Deatrich Wise and Austin Ekeler to season-ending injuries.

NFC East Update: Eagles, Commanders start as predicted
The Commanders had the more lopsided win in a 21-6 handling of the Giants. However, the big story of the game was how out of sorts New York QB Russell Wilson seemed, as well as the generally poor state of the team.
The Giants are 4-15-1 against division opponents in the regular season (plus 0-1 in the playoffs, with that Eagles beatdown in 2022). They have now lost eight straight against the NFC East, including last season’s 0-6 record — the Giants’ first ever winless NFC East season.

NFC West is by far the best division in football so far
The NFC West’s seven total wins are by far the most of any division. The next closest is four wins, which the NFC North, NFC East and AFC North both have. Barring a tie between the Chargers and Raiders on Monday, the AFC West will also have four wins through two weeks.
