On Saturday, it was announced that eight-year former Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose will become ... three-time All-Star swingman Bob Love and two-time All-Star guard Jerry Sloan (who made the Hall of Fame as a coach) in the United Center rafters.
President and COO of the Bulls, Michael Reinsdorf, joined Rose to tell the 208 No. 1 overall pick that the Bulls would put his number in the rafters. Cameras were there to capture the moment as an emotional Rose shed tears and hugged Reinsdorf.
The Rose jersey retirement will be held during the next NBA season (2025-26), and details will be announced at a later date.
