Lady Gaga has opened up on her mental health struggles, revealing that she suffered from psychosis five years ago, but that meeting her now-fiance Michael Polansky helped her get back on track

On a new episode of The Interview podcast, published yesterday, Gaga revealed she had psychosis five years ago. The National Institute of Mental Health defines it as "a collection of symptoms that affect the mind" and causes a person to have trouble separating what's real from what's not.

Lady Gaga is opening up about one of her biggest mental health struggles. “I had psychosis,” the “Abracadabra” singer revealed in a candid sit-down with the New York Times’ “The Interview” podcast, released on Saturday.
