The Miami Heat are sending Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors as the centerpiece of a deal that will include Andrew Wiggins going to the Heat as well as a number of other players who will be rerouted and moved around. Once finalized, the trade is expected to include at least five teams, one of which is the Utah Jazz.

The Jazz helped facilitate the deal, trading the contract of newly-acquired P.J. Tucker to the Heat while taking on Dennis Schröder’s expiring contract. Utah will receive a 2031 second-round pick from the Heat in the multi-team deal.

The most notable trade from Charania yesterday was that Golden State was involved in a multi-team deal. Jimmy Butler is headed to the Warriors and the Heat will acquire Andrew Wiggins. In that trade, the Warriors sent veteran PG Dennis Schroder to Utah. NBA insider Marc Spears noted that the Jazz are not expected to keep Shcroder.

The Jazz sent Dennis Schröder (acquired on Wednesday night) to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for KJ Martin, Josh Richardson and a future second-round pick.
