Alexander Ortiz, 21, was arrested last year for the fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend, Alianna Farfan. He has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges.

Now, a third person has been charged after the Jan. 31 court hearing in an Albuquerque homicide saw the relatives of Alianna Farfan attack the man accused of killing her.

Alexander Ortiz, 21, was arrested by Albuquerque police last February in connection with the fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend, Alianna Farfan, according to a police news release.

He is identified as 40-year-old Carlos Lucero, uncle of Alianna Farfan, who was allegedly fatally shot by Ortiz last year.

Alexander Ortiz has been charged with murdering Lucero’s niece, Alianna Farfan. Lucero was later joined by Pete Ysasi, who was the stepfather of Farfan, in the fight.
