It's the final holiday stretch at the White House for President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, and the theme is “A Season of Peace and Light.”

The idea behind the theme, according to the White House, is to encourage the more than 100,000 visitors who pass through the doors at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. during Christmastime to "embrace the peace and light of the holiday season.

First Lady Jill Biden accepted the delivery of this year’s White House Christmas tree from Cartner’s Christmas Tree Farm in Newland, an area impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Several volunteers spent the past week decorating the White House with 10,000 feet of ribbon, 28,000 ornaments, and 165,000 lights. Additionally, 83 Christmas trees are scattered throughout. The five-day trip to a remote part of Canada came together in a captivating night-time photo.
